Apple has just announced the new generation MacBook Pro with M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, and added the Space Black color option.
The most important change in the new MacBook Pro is the M4 chip, which Apple promises will deliver significantly higher performance for single-core and multi-core applications than the M3 chip. The M4 chip is equipped with a 10-core CPU, including 4 high-performance cores and 6 energy-efficient cores, combined with a 10-core GPU.
The starting price of MacBook Pro M4 is 40.45 million VND.
The M4 Pro comes with a 12-core CPU (8 high-performance cores and 4 energy-efficient cores) or 14-core CPU (2 additional high-performance cores), with a 16-core or 20-core GPU. Meanwhile, the M4 Max comes with a 14-core CPU (10 high-performance cores) and a 32-core GPU, or a 16-core CPU and a 40-core GPU.
Memory bandwidth on the new generation MacBook Pro is also improved with the M4 version reaching 120 GB/s, the M4 Pro version up to 273 GB/s and the M4 Max version reaching 410 GB/s or 546 GB/s depending on the variant.
The design of the MacBook Pro M4 is virtually unchanged from its predecessor.
Despite the significant upgrades to the internal components, the exterior design of the MacBook Pro M4 retains many of the same features as its predecessor. This includes the 14.2-inch and 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR displays with resolutions of 3,024 x 1,964 pixels and 3,456 x 2,234 pixels, respectively, and a peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits for HDR content. Features like True Tone, ProMotion, and Wide Color (P3) are also retained on the product.
In terms of audio, the 6-speaker sound system with subwoofer, Spatial Audio support and three microphones with high signal-to-noise ratio provide an immersive audio experience. Connectivity options on the product include three Thunderbolt 5 ports for the M4 Pro and M4 Max versions, while the standard M4 uses Thunderbolt 4 port. In addition, the product also offers MagSafe 3 features, HDMI, SDXC card slot, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
The product supports connection to two external displays.
In addition to the traditional Silver color, customers who buy the MacBook Pro M4 now have the beautiful Space Black color option. The starting price of the 14-inch MacBook Pro M4 is $ 1,599, while the 16-inch version starts at $ 2,499. Pre-orders begin on October 30 with an official release date of November 8.
