Xiaomi 14T Pro and iPhone 16 are two new smartphone models launched in the Vietnamese market, competing directly with each other in the mid-high-end segment.
Both the iPhone 16 and Xiaomi 14T Pro are finished with a frosted glass back and a metal frame. However, the overall design of these two models has many differences. The iPhone 16 has a soft appearance with rounded corners and a compact camera cluster. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14T Pro has a more square, sturdy appearance.
The overall size of the iPhone 16 is more compact, giving a more comfortable grip when used with one hand. On the contrary, with a larger size, the Xiaomi 14T Pro offers a more spacious display space.
The iPhone 16 has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen with a resolution of 1,179 x 2,556 pixels. The Xiaomi 14T Pro's screen is 6.67 inches in size, using an AMOLED CrystalRes panel with a resolution of 1,220 x 2,712 pixels. The display quality on both screens is good, with wide viewing angles and can be easily used outdoors. However, the Xiaomi 14T Pro's screen provides a smoother visual experience with a 144Hz refresh rate, while the screen refresh rate on the iPhone 16 is only 60Hz.
The iPhone 16 is equipped with two cameras with a 48MP main lens and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Apple also integrated a new Camera Control button so that users can take pictures on this product. Meanwhile, the Leica camera system on the Xiaomi 14T Pro includes a 50MP main lens, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50MP telephoto lens that supports 2.6x optical zoom. Users can customize between two modes: brilliant Leica and true Leica to take pictures depending on the conditions and preferences.
Testing indoor photography, the images taken from the iPhone 16 camera have a fairly obvious yellow tint, while the white balance on the Xiaomi 14T Pro works better. The iPhone 16 camera tends to push the light up, making the overall photo flatter and the colors brighter. However, this causes the details in the leaf veins to be significantly reduced and the image to be grainy in the dark areas. On the contrary, the images taken from the Xiaomi 14T Pro camera reproduce the green color of the leaves more accurately than in reality, the details of the leaf veins are also retained more, and the dark areas are not grainy.
For portrait mode, the two devices also have different processing methods. The portrait photo taken from the iPhone 16 retains a lot of detail in the hair, but the skin color is reproduced quite dull and the overall photo is still yellow. Meanwhile, the AI algorithms on the Xiaomi 14T Pro have removed the baby hairs, the processed skin color is more vibrant and the photo color is also clearer.
The iPhone 16 is equipped with an A18 processor and 8GB of RAM. The Xiaomi 14T Pro integrates a Mediatek Dimensity 9300+ chip with 12GB of RAM. These are the most powerful chips on the current mobile market. Therefore, the actual experience of these two models does not differ much in everyday tasks. However, the iPhone 16 is somewhat more prominent when it can play AAA games such as Assassin's Creed Mirage or Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Currently, these games are only released exclusively for some iPhone models.
The iPhone 16 is equipped with a 3,561mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 14T Pro has a 5,000mAh battery. Both devices can meet the needs of use in a day. The Xiaomi 14T Pro is somewhat superior when it is integrated with 120W fast charging technology, helping to fully charge the battery in about 20 minutes. With a 20W fast charging capacity, the iPhone 16 battery takes about 70 minutes to fully charge.
iPhone 16 is equipped with Face ID facial recognition security system. Meanwhile, Xiaomi 14T Pro integrates fingerprint sensor under the screen.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14T Pro will be suitable for users who need a device with a large, smooth screen, an AI camera that takes better photos in many conditions and a stronger battery life.
