On the morning of October 4, Apple released iOS version 18.0.1. This is the first bug fix update for iOS 18.
Apple has just released the iOS 18.0.1 update to address important technical and security issues for the iPhone line. According to information from Apple, this version will fix many bugs, including:
- The touchscreen may temporarily become unresponsive on iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro.
- Camera may freeze when recording macro mode video on the ultrawide camera in 4K with HDR off on iPhone 16 Pro.
- The Messages app may unexpectedly quit when replying to a message with a shared Apple Watch face.
- Performance may be affected due to memory allocation issues on some iPhone models.
Users can update to iOS 18.0.1 by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update .
Previously, after updating iOS 18, many users reported problems such as battery drain, overheating, and some other errors.
A user named Quang Anh shared: "Previously, when I was on iOS version 17.6.1, I often used iPhone 15 Pro Max from morning until about 10pm before needing to charge.
After updating to iOS 18, by late afternoon, the device reported low battery. The sudden heating of the device had significantly affected battery life.
According to Dan Tri reporters , battery drain and overheating after upgrading to iOS 18 appeared on many devices, from iPhone 15 to older models such as iPhone 14 and iPhone 13.
Many users also said that iPhone performance has decreased after updating iOS 18, along with software conflicts affecting the user experience.
Account Anh Linh shared: "The Facebook app on my iPhone keeps crashing. The multitasking transition effect between apps is also not as smooth as before", reflecting on the condition of the iPhone 13 after updating to iOS 18.
