iPhone 16 launched with A18 Bionic chip, 120Hz display and 8K camera, will it make iPhone 12 users consider upgrading?
The iPhone 16 has officially launched with many major improvements in both performance and design, causing many users who own the iPhone 12 to consider whether to upgrade or not. Selling price
In terms of price, when launched in 2020, the iPhone 12 was sold for around $799, equivalent to around 19 million VND for the lowest capacity version. However, currently, the price of the iPhone 12 in the Vietnamese market has dropped to around 14 to 15 million VND, depending on the store and promotion program.
Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 16 launched with a starting price of $999, or about 26 to 27 million VND for the 128GB version. This difference reflects the big change in technology and features between the two generations, but it is also a pretty big investment for users.
Design
In terms of design, the iPhone 12 brings a luxurious feel with its square shape and characteristic flat edges, making the device sturdy when held. The glass back and aluminum frame are still aesthetic highlights, but the large notch on the screen is a factor that makes users dissatisfied.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 is equipped with the A18 Bionic chip, which is much more powerful. The processing power of the A18 is not only faster but also more energy-efficient, thanks to which multitasking tasks run smoothly, complex applications such as AR/VR run stably, and at the same time help the device not to get hot when used for a long time.
Screen
The iPhone 12's screen is still highly appreciated with a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED panel, HDR10 support and a maximum brightness of up to 1200 nits. The downside of the iPhone 12 is that the refresh rate is only 60Hz, which makes scrolling or playing games not as smooth as on devices with higher refresh rates. However, in this aspect, users can consider ignoring it because the screens of both the iPhone 12 and iPhone 16 only have a 60Hz refresh rate.
