Apple is in the process of developing the next generation of the iPhone SE, with an expected launch date early next year.
The iPhone SE 4 promises to bring many significant improvements compared to its predecessor, even having some outstanding features compared to the iPhone 15.
New look
While new iPhone models like the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 have shrunk down compared to the average smartphone size on the market, the iPhone SE still retains its characteristic smallness. The problem is that the iPhone SE models that Apple is selling on the market are only 4.7 inches in size with Retina IPS LCD technology, which makes many people afraid because it is "no longer suitable".
iPhone SE 4 will have a pretty fresh look.
But things will change when the upcoming iPhone SE 4 is said to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display that promises to compete in size and quality with the iPhone 15's display. According to reports, the iPhone SE 4 will likely use a notch design similar to the iPhone 14 to provide Face ID instead of Touch ID on the iPhone SE 3. Thus, the iPhone SE 4 will mark a shift from the iPhone 8-like design to a more modern new look, meeting the needs of users who love notches instead of the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 15.
Better performance
According to a recent report, the iPhone SE 4 will be equipped with an A18 chip and 8 GB of RAM, promising superior performance. This is also the chip and RAM specifications on the latest iPhone 16 series, meaning that even a cheap phone like the iPhone SE 4 can compete strongly with the iPhone 15 in terms of performance.
The A18 chip as well as 8GB of RAM are needed to run Apple Intelligence.
Furthermore, it is reported that the iPhone SE 4 will use a 5G modem developed by Apple. With the support of the A18 chip, the iPhone SE 4 is also capable of running the latest Apple Intelligence tools from Apple, which opens up many creative and convenient possibilities for users.
Affordable, accessible
When the iPhone SE 3 (in 2022) was introduced, it was offered by Apple at a starting price of $429, but with new upgrades, the iPhone SE 4 could be sold for between $499 and $549. Although not considered “cheap,” this price is still in the high-end mid-range smartphone segment. Notably, the iPhone SE 4 is $200 cheaper than the basic iPhone 15 at $699.
The price of iPhone SE 4 is relatively easy to buy.
Currently, Apple has not announced a specific release date for the iPhone SE 4. The three previous versions of this product line were launched in 2016, 2020 and 2022. According to recent sources, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be launched early next year and is codenamed “V59”. Unlike Apple’s high-end product lines, this model will target the mid-range Android smartphone market in the Asian region.
