Samsung will not launch the latest generation of Galaxy S25 smartphones until early next year, but up to now, a series of information related to the product has been leaked on social networks.
According to technology site ZDNet, it is likely that the Galaxy S25 series launched early next year will only be equipped with Qualcomm's latest generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, instead of using the Exynos 2500 chip developed by Samsung.
One of the reasons for this decision is that Samsung has not yet been able to optimize the Exynos 2500 chip to achieve the highest performance, including processing speed and battery saving capabilities.

Of course, from now until the Galaxy S25 series is launched, Samsung still has a lot of time to develop and optimize the Exynos 2500 processor chip.
However, according to some sources, Samsung will not rush to optimize the Exynos 2500 chip, but will equip the Galaxy S25 series with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip. After that, the company will spend more time developing and optimizing the Exynos 2500 chip to equip its new product models launched in late 2025 or early 2026.
If the leaked information is correct, users worldwide will be able to use the Galaxy S25 series with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, which is considered to have the best performance, instead of being differentiated by chip type according to each market like the Galaxy S24 version.
However, the fact that the Galaxy S25 series is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip is not entirely good news for those who are looking forward to this product.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a market researcher who regularly makes accurate predictions about upcoming technology products, using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip will cause Samsung's Galaxy S25 series to increase in price by 25% to 30%, depending on the version.
The reason is that the price of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip will be significantly higher than the 8 Gen 3 version launched last year. Ming-Chi Kuo said that the price of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip ranges from $ 190 to $ 200, while the price of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip version will increase to $ 237.5 to $ 260, which will push the price of smartphones up accordingly.
Korean newspaper Hankyung also agrees with Ming-Chi Kuo when saying that Samsung will accept a high price to bring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip to the Galaxy S25 smartphone series, helping the product to compete in terms of performance and AI features processing ability with the iPhone 16 series that Apple will launch on September 9.
Hankyung also said that Samsung will continue to invest in perfecting the Exynos 2500 chip and equip this new generation chip for the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 foldable smartphone duo to be launched in the middle of next year.
If this information is correct, this will be the first time Samsung uses its homegrown Exynos chip for its foldable smartphone.
