Specifically, the iPhone 17 Slim is expected to start at $1,299, making it the iPhone with the highest starting price at launch.

This new model will be equipped with a 6.65-inch LTPO screen, located between the iPhone 17 Pro (expected 6.27 inches) and iPhone 17 Pro Max (expected 6.86 inches).

Previously, a source from The Information said that Apple was planning to introduce a completely new iPhone 17 model, which would be priced higher than the Pro Max version, and would become the most advanced iPhone ever.

This model is also expected to have many design changes compared to current products, similar to when Apple launched the iPhone X in 2017.

iPhone 17 Slim will have many big changes

According to MacRumors , the device's main camera system will be moved to the middle instead of being placed in the upper left corner, and the Dynamic Island area will be redesigned to be more compact, helping to optimize the display area on the front.

Digitimes said that the iPhone 17 Pro will be the first iPhone to use a processor manufactured on TSMC's 2nm process. Some sources even said that this model will be the first smartphone equipped with a 2nm chip.

Earlier this year, Apple contracted TSMC for its entire 2nm manufacturing process in the early stages of its operations, which is also expected to be used to produce Apple Silicon chips for future Macs.

The iPhone 17 generation will be equipped with a screen with a Ceramic Shield outer glass layer, which is more anti-reflective and scratch-resistant than previous versions.

The source revealed that the new Ceramic Shield glass has been delivered to the supply chain in China. However, it will not appear in time for the iPhone 16 product line expected to launch this coming September.
