Lenovo is about to launch a gaming tablet with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and 12GB RAM, promising outstanding performance.
According to Mashable, Lenovo announced on its Weibo account that an update to the Legion Y700 gaming tablet is coming soon.
While the company has yet to provide specific details, a recent Geekbench 5 listing shared by reputable tech leaker @Digital Chat Station has provided some information about the product's configuration.
A Geekbench 5 listing reveals that a Lenovo device, likely the updated Legion Y700, is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and 12GB of RAM. The device scored 2,209 in single-core tests and 6,509 in multi-core tests.
This new processor will offer significant performance improvements over the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip used in the previous version, according to Gizmochina.
While the Geekbench listing gives us a glimpse of the Y700's processing capabilities, other important details like display specifications, storage options, and battery capacity are yet to be revealed.
Lenovo's international launch strategy has not been confirmed. However, based on how its predecessor launched, users can expect a global release after the initial launch in the Chinese market.
Lenovo could launch the Legion Y700 2024 in the next few weeks, or by the end of the year at the latest. This will help the company attract gamers to choose the Legion Y700 during the year-end shopping season.
According to the images released by Nubia on its official Weibo page, the RedMagic Gaming Pad Pro comes in at least two color variants, black and silver white. It has a more vibrant and bold design than regular tablets, inspired by the transparent design elements seen on previous RedMagic gaming phones. The design emphasizes a futuristic look that is very appealing to the gaming community.
One of the standout features of the RedMagic Gaming Pad Pro is its improved cooling system. Dubbed “PAD Magic Cooling ICE 2.0,” the system integrates fans and heat pipes to maintain optimal performance during intense gaming sessions.
The system is a significant advancement for gaming tablets, which often struggle with heat management during extended use. The cooling fan is positioned next to the rear camera and works in conjunction with a heat pipe with a remarkable thermal conductivity of 6000W/mK, using copper foil, graphene, and other materials to enhance heat dissipation.
The tablet also features customizable RGB lighting, including an internal circulation fan and a “REDMAGIC” logo on the left that can glow and change color depending on the user’s preference.
