At its current price, this iPhone model with beautiful design and good performance - is not a bad choice!
The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, like their iPhone 11 siblings, were largely seen as updates to the iPhone XS and XS Max at the time of their launch. But their designs seem to be the benchmark for current iPhone designs. They have three cameras, with an ultra-wide lens joining the wide-angle and standard telephoto lenses. The screens are brighter. There’s a new processor. And they have a matte finish on the back, with a midnight green color option.
It has been 5 years since its launch, but the iPhone 11 Pro still has the advantages that the writer loves, such as its compact size, luxurious, shiny round steel border, and modern "3-eye" camera module. Although the processor chip, according to personal assessment, gets a bit hot when used continuously for a long time.
Still, the iPhone 11 Pro is one of the most balanced iPhones Apple has ever made, according to The Verge. It has great battery life, performance that will last for years to come, a gorgeous display, and a new camera system that is generally better than any other phone, and will get even better with a software update coming later this fall.
Currently, the iPhone 11 Pro is priced at about 6.7 million VND for the 64GB version, the device is new and beautiful. For the 256GB version, the price will be about 1 million VND higher for all colors. At this price, the iPhone 11 Pro is cheaper than the new iPhone 11, the performance and design are definitely better.
Apple made a very obvious move with the iPhone 11 Pro, making the phone a little thicker and putting a bigger battery inside. The iPhone 11 Pro is 0.4mm thicker and 11 grams heavier than the iPhone XS. But unless you compare them side-by-side, it’s hard to notice the difference. However, the difference is a little more noticeable if you’re upgrading from a lower-end iPhone like the iPhone 7, as the 11 Pro is a full 50 grams heavier than the 7.
With the larger size and the removal of the 3D Touch system, there will be more space inside for a larger battery, which seems to be a key part of Apple's claim of four hours of extra battery life over the iPhone XS and five hours for the Pro Max over the XS Max.
It’s smaller than the 11 Pro Max, but the iPhone 11 Pro performs just as well. The Verge’s testing team at the time of the launch used the device all day to shoot a review video, sent it out for test shots, and shot 4K video for hours in the evening, left it uncharged overnight, and still had 50% battery life the next morning. This suggests that the iPhone 11 Pro’s real-world performance won’t leave users struggling with basic tasks all day long.
The biggest change on the outside of the iPhone 11 Pro is the camera system. Now, in addition to the standard camera and telephoto camera on the back, there is also an ultra-wide-angle camera. The "3-eye" camera design is still applied on the current new iPhone lines , only changing in size and internal quality. This is a design that is loved by the majority of iFans and is one of the "must-have" requirements when choosing to buy a device.
The iPhone 11 Pro has three cameras, all with different focal lengths: there's an ultra-wide-angle camera with a 13mm f/2.4 lens, a 26mm f/1.8 main camera with a slightly improved sensor, and a telephoto camera with the same sensor as the iPhone XS but a faster 52mm f/2.0 lens. The front-facing camera is 12 megapixels, and has a wider 24mm focal length so it can pull out a slightly wider angle when taking landscape selfies, which is a lot of fun.
Apple also updated its Smart HDR processing system, which was a less-than-impressive feature on the iPhone XS and XR because it flattened images, made them look unnatural by lifting shadows and lowering highlights, and ruined details by over-smoothing and reducing noise.
The iPhone 11 Pro's cameras are a huge improvement over the XS, and they beat out Android rivals at the time in most photography performance comparisons. In fact, the iPhone 11 Pro's photo quality isn't much worse than today's new smartphones, or current iPhone models.
The iPhone 11 Pro has a Super Retina XDR display, a reference to Apple's Pro XDR display, and the device's increased peak brightness: 800 nits in standard outdoor mode and 1200 nits in the highlights of HDR content.
This is the first true HDR display Apple has put on a phone. It makes the iPhone 11 Pro's display quality very convincing. It can compete with the Note 10's excellent display.
Apple has also tweaked its True Tone display system. It now has a five-channel light sensor, down from six in the XS. Apple says it got better results by removing the white channel and making the color channels more sensitive, and the end result is that the iPhone 11 Pro display has a slightly different color tone than the XS with True Tone turned on. It’s a little warmer and a little bluer. True Tone is one of the iPhone’s best features that Android competitors have yet to match.
3D Touch is gone. It's been replaced on the iPhone 11 Pro with Haptic Touch. Haptic Touch is just a long press with haptic feedback. 3D Touch was a great idea but it didn't really work, and the iPhone really isn't worse off for removing it. In fact, some things are a little easier to understand, like rearranging home screen icons because there's a pop-up context menu now. You don't have to explain to people that they have to press down on the camera icon on the lock screen.
The iPhone 11 Pro has an A13 Bionic processor, which, as usual, benchmarks much higher than the competition. There's plenty of room here for things like AR, games, and high-end photo and video apps. The performance of this processor is still strong enough to keep users for a few years, if not for heavy gaming or high-end graphics. Face ID on the iPhone 11 Pro works well, is responsive, and is stable at many angles.
The iPhone 11 Pro was an expensive phone when it launched, starting at $999 for the 64GB model. Now, with a price just a fraction of the original price, but still top-notch performance and design, the iPhone 11 Pro is a great choice as it's cheap, powerful, stylish, and still takes great photos!
