Recall of imported Mercedes-Benz cars due to fuel pump error.
The Registry Department and Mercedes-Benz Vietnam will recall nearly 500 imported vehicles to check and replace the fuel pump assembly to fix fuel pump errors.
Recall program to check and replace fuel pump assemblies to fix fuel pump errors for some Mercedes Benz GLC300 4MATIC (model number X253), S450 4MATIC & Maybach S450 4MATIC (Type number V223), GLS 450 4MATIC, Maybach GLS 480 4MATIC, Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC (model number THSP/2023/32 & THSP/2023/40).
The fuel pump on affected vehicles may not meet specifications, therefore, fuel pump function may be impaired under certain conditions and the fuel pump may become inoperative. . In this case, the vehicle may automatically lose thrust. This may cause a risk of collision or accident when the vehicle is operating on the road.
Therefore, the company is recalling affected vehicles to check and replace fuel pump assemblies for affected vehicles as a precautionary measure. For affected vehicles, customers need to take the vehicle to authorized distributors of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam Company nationwide to have it done according to the manufacturer's technical instructions. Implementation is completely free as a preventative measure. Implementation time is about 1.5 hours.
On some Mercedes-Benz GLC300 4MATIC (model number imported and distributed by MBV company with production period from June 2021 to December 2022 is on the affected list (additional list of affected vehicles for the recall program number THSP/2023/ 32, THSP/2023/40) needs to be recalled to check and replace the fuel pump assembly to fix the error according to Mercedes-Benz AG's recall program (code 4790205).
